Plastasphalt®

What Is It?

Plastasphalt is a product originally from Germany. It is an elastic repair material that can be used to repair cracks, holes and other damage in highways, roads, urban streets, bridges or any other areas paved with asphalt or concrete. The elastic properties make Plastasphalt well suited for all highways/roads with heavy traffic.

Plastasphalt is used in major European cities such as Berlin, Copenhagen, Hamburg. It is also used on the major highways in both Germany and Denmark.

Great News! Plastasphalt is now approved by Alberta Transportation.

The rubber ingredient is obtained from recycled tires, contributing to the reduction of the tire pollution and no left-over packaging. At Paveit, we are proud to be environmentally conscious.

Why Plastasphalt?

This product specializes in repairing roads in a timely manner. It has been a reliable material in Germany for over 20 years. It is applied at a temperature of approx. 250 ° C and can penetrate into small cracks.

The rubber content, the oil and the bitumen provide elasticity, which reduces the stress caused by movement of the roadbed due to settling, weather and heavy traffic. The high temperature will also ensure a high adhesion capacity, allowing it to bond with all known road surfaces.

How Does It Work?

Plastasphalt can be applied in minutes with a truck and a small amount of equipment. The repaired surface is ready to accept traffic within minutes after application, making Plastasphalt an ideal solution for areas with heavy traffic. It is applied in 10 – 50 cm width strips. For larger surface areas the product would be laid, strip after strip.
